Study path

You would apply your knowledge in economics to solve policy puzzles that potentially affect many people. It is very unlikely for you to just work with other economists. You would have non-econ members to team up with, and politics may play a key role in making decisions. It is therefore even more important for you to talk to as many people from outside of the economics department as possible from the very beginning of your university life so to make sure your language and communication skills are sharpened.

Statistics tool kits and modeling skills can help you answer positive questions concerning policies. Needless to say, ECON 2901 and 4901 are important opportunities for you to develop an expertise in one or two areas of public policies. They are important in your job interviews. Exchanges and internships are indicators of your ability to cope with different environments. Do apply for them.
