Personally, I am currently a Year 2 student, and
despite not having much Filipinos around on campus (though I do meet up with
them when I can!), I have been able to thrive as an international student here
in general, meeting people from over 40 countries so far, sharing
my own Pinoy culture and language, and having fun along the way!

Over decades, the CUHK Department of Economics has nurtured many distinguished alumni, who have contributed in different sectors of the community. They include Mr. Vincent Cheng, the first Chinese Chairman of HSBC; Mr. Kwok Kwok Chuen, former Principal Economist at HKSAR Government.
The Department of Economics is renowned for its strength in research in the Chinese economy, economic theory and labour economics. It is also the only economics department in Hong Kong with two Nobel Laureates among its staff.

Awards and
Certificates (Academic / Professional Achievements)
You may provide a maximum of 10 awards or certificates that prove your academic or professional achievements. Such academic awards include but are not limited to any international-level competition (Olympiad Exams) or inter-school level competition (English Speech Contests). Such professional certificates include but are not limited to CFA or FRM.
You can submit up to 3 referee's contact information. The referee may be your high school teacher, a professor, or an employer with related academic background who can prove your academic strengths or professional skills.
After successfully submitting online application, your referee will receive an invitation email to login the "Online Confidential Recommendation System" to complete the Confidential Recommendation Report. He or she can also attach a Reference Letter as a supplement. Your referee could submit it online through the Online Confidential Recommendation System or print out the Confidential Recommendation Form and Reference Letter (if applicable) and mail them in a sealed envelope by post to the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid:

If you have not received your International exam results when you apply, just submit predicted grades under section “Public Examinations - To be attempted” and upload the real results when you receive it. Remember, it is required to have an average of grade C in four STPM subjects in one sitting; or Grade B6 in six UEC-Senior subjects

The English requirement for the Malaysian National Board Exams is Malaysian SPM / UEC-Senior English Language: C / B4. If you fail to reach the requirement in the National Board Exams, you need to take another public exam to prove your English proficiency. For example: IELTS - 6.0 overall band score / TOEFL (iBT) - 80 / SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing - 590 / SAT Reasoning Test (Old) – 8 overall in the Essay.

It is a non-refundable payment that is payable via either through VISA or MASTERCARD when submitting your online application.
Sign and complete duplicate copy of the admission offer letter by the specified date; otherwise the admission offer will become null and void.
Remember to upload the Certificates to confirm the conditional offer (if applicable).
Pay the first installment of composition fees of HK$10,000 by the specified date; otherwise the admission offer will become null and void. This HK$10,000 will be counted as part of the tuition fee in the first semester.
Applicants who are admitted to CUHK will be affiliated to one of the nine colleges. To facilitate the college assignment process, you will receive an email at around April or May that will ask you to submit your ranked college preferences.
